This is one in a series of drawings done at an art residency in Tusa, Sicily, exploring the extraordinary landscape of winds crisscrossing the geography of that region in the Mediterranean. Influenced by graffiti and tagging, I think of these marks as expressions of cultures in movement, conflicts of history, and human suffering.
